Situation

Paul had purchased this home with his former wife. His new wife was keen to move out of the city to be nearer family. The challenge was that he had purchased right at the top of the market some years back and had also refinanced along the way. He did not have a great deal of equity in the home and so every penny counted. At first Paul tried advertising on Kijji to see if he could find a buyer himself. His experience was typical. Most often those potential buyers that emerge via Kijji are ‘sub wholesale’ buyers. That is, they are the worst quality. He received a low-ball offer and a ‘rent to own’ proposal. That was enough for Paul. He had to find a better way. Paul ruled out a traditional REALTOR® due to the excessive costs. He also ruled out Comfree. He had concerns that much like with Kijji, the quality of buyers could be low. He turned to Ambergate Realty Advisors.
