Bonnie Doon

Bonnie Doon was originally part of the City of Strathcona. It became part of Edmonton in 1912 and was named after the Doon river in Scotland by Alexander Rutherford the developer. Today Bonnie Doon hosts the only francophone university west of Manitoba. Its located conveniently for shopping, the new LRT and its proximity to Mill Creek Ravine make it very popular with river valley trail users.
