After the board of directors at the REALTORS® Association of Edmonton (RAE), the Member Services Committee is perhaps the most important assembly of RAE members.

Historically, the Member Services Committee was elected by the members to speak for the members. Stuart was successfully elected by his fellow brokers 2 years ago to represent them and their interests.

Early in 2020, he was elected by his fellow committee members to lead and speak for them and all fellow RAE members. Stuart is a Co-Chair. The other Co-Chair was elected by board of directors.

Situation

Sophie and Morgan purchased this home ‘for sale by owner’ just a few years ago and by their own admission, they paid far too much for it.

They decided that they wanted to simplify their lives, slow down and divest themselves of surplus assets and incumbrances, (this was a home they purchased to stay in when they came to Edmonton from the country).

When it came to selecting a REALTOR® their objectives were clear.

Situation

Nayyar and Uzma were presented with an opportunity to move to Texas with Nayyar’s employer. They had purchased their Cumberland home in 2016 and therefore had not built up any equity. They decided to look around for a service provider that provided value, rather than a traditional and expensive REALTOR®. Their first option was Purple Bricks. They met and interviewed a representative from Purple Bricks. They were concerned about contracting with a company based in Quebec, rather than a team based here in Edmonton.

Stuart Neal our broker owner met with Nayyar and Uzma to go over our plan. We think that they enjoyed the personal service and from a marketing perspective, they were very impressed that our program includes a VIRTUAL TOUR.

Situation

M & M originally from Holland have lived in Canada for about the last 20 years. They have purchased one or two homes ‘for sale by owner’ and their first inclination was to try and sell this home on Gladstone Crescent in St Albert the same way. M talked to a few customers and coworkers she knew at the garden centre where she worked, but no buyers were forthcoming.
