4 Ways to Get Registrations at Your Next Open House With NO Pushback
Your Open House visitors are guarded about giving up their personal information to a person they hardly know. Here are 4 methods I have used to easily get the information you need for follow up:
- The Extra Information Method
The easiest way to use this technique is to invite lots of questions from the visitor. Encourage them to ask you questions for which you don’t have an answer. Then you have an opportunity to ask for their details so that you can get back to them.
- Be The First to Know Method
For this technique you can suggest that you often hear of other listings coming into this market before they are listed. Or you can suggest that some of the visitors that came to the open house were owners of smaller or larger homes in the area and that you might be able to match them up BEFORE these homes hit the open market.
- The List of Vacant Homes Method
If you think that the visitor is worth spending time with, ask if they would like to see some other homes in the area after you have finished at the Open House? Studies show that if you show 3 homes on the first outing there is a 90% chance they will buy with you.
- The Prize Draw Method
Leave this until the end. Do have a prize in mind. But also consider that some folks enter prize draws just for fun. You will need to start your ‘buyer consultation’ only after going through the rigmarole of the price draw process.
