Charlotte and her partner Michel decided to go their separate ways. In the first instance Charlotte explored buying out her partner, but ultimately, she could not afford to do so given that she had been laid off for most of the summer.
Charlotte decided to list with a local traditional REALTOR®that she already knew, liked and trusted. This is how many home sellers pick their REALTOR®. Unfortunately, most individual REALTORS® are not very effective as selling homes. In the past year most REALTORS® sell LESS than 50% of the homes they represent for sale.
She did not receive very much in the way of advice from her REALTOR® or interest from the market. After several months, the listing expired. Charlotte started to look around for a better service provider.
We counselled Charlotte and her former partner on staging the home for sale, modern approaches to set a price, plus positioning strategy for this home which is situated in the Summerwood community of Sherwood Park.
