My husband and I first started speaking to Stuart over a year ago, when we were living in the UK.
We had all our plans in motion to move to Canada and found Stuart on a Facebook page. We started chatting generally about houses in the areas we could afford and what we were looking for, but as emigrating was a long process, we waited a while to reach out again.
Once we found out we had weeks to move from the UK, we contacted Stuart with (what seemed to us) a rash decision to buy house without even viewing it.
In the UK house prices are so very expensive, we believed that the house we had found was a rare gem and would go before we even arrived and our ideal first home would have been sold.
After speaking to Stuart, he was openly honest with the housing market in Canada and reassured us not to panic buy. So, we went with his advice.
We had arranged to meet Stuart the day after we landed in Canada to have a chat and to discuss what we wanted from a house.
Well! At our first meeting Stuart guided us through houses and what we wanted/needed from a home, I feel, he knew more about what we should be looking for than us, which was brilliant!
We had already found some houses to view in our budget, so we sat down and narrowed our search of around 10, down to a more realistic 3-4.
We were on (what we considered) a small-time scale of 7 weeks to find, buy and move into a house, but Stuart made us feel relaxed and reassured we would find our house in that time, and not to just 'settle'
After visiting the properties, we had found ourselves after our first initial visit, Stuart pulled a rabbit out of a hat and showed us a near perfect property for all our needs for now and for our future.
After seeing this house for 5 minutes we knew this was the one!
We are expecting our first child, so the spec of this house was perfect for us, it was fully renovated and ready to move in, it was big enough to start and expand a family and it has all the list of things we wanted from an area. Stuarts communication throughout the whole process was wonderful, he was always contactable and made sure to always return calls.
As we were coming from the UK, we were not sure how everything worked in Canada, so Stuart guided us with advice and contacts for people to help us with all our inspection needs, our lawyer and a lot of personal advice along the way too!
Stuart was brilliant with everything and even after the sale has gone through we know he is only at the end of a phone if we need any house advise. Can’t wait to work with you again Stuart, for our next house.
