Situation

After spending 10 years in Alberta, Linda and Michael decided it was time to head back home to Ontario. They purchased the home in Summerside only a few years back direct from the builder and paid full retail price. Unfortunately, it’s often hard for purchasers of new homes to be able to sell for what they paid within the first 3 to 5 years of ownership. This fact combined with decreased sales values across Edmonton in general over the last 3 years put them into a challenging situation. Their first course of action was to find the cheapest real estate service provider they could find and this was Purplebricks. Unfortunately, the Purplebricks program did not work for them. They found it hard to arrange showings whilst they were both at work and when they moved to Ontario, self-servicing the listing was impossible. They also found that the service and local market knowledge available from Purple Bricks was superficial at best. Linda and Michael started to look around for a better option. They were determined not to pay expensive traditional real estate commissions. The flat fee program offered by Vital Home Realty was the obvious choice.

 

Result

Upon engagement the team at Vital Home Realty got to work. No stone was left unturned. The home was advertised on over 2500 real estate websites, Realtor.ca, Facebook and Instagram. We advised Linda and Michael how to maximize their audience which included moving to round number pricing and offering immediate possession.

After some time, a suitable buyer was found. We negotiated full market value for them and now they have completely transitioned to their life in Ontario.
