Sales prices are breaking records in Edmonton at this time. In September, homes sold for about $300 more than September 2019.

Sales Values

In September 2020, average sales prices were around $379,686 compared to $379,499 last year & around $374,000 in 2018. In general, prices have strengthened since March. 

Sales Volume

After record breaking results in June & July, we are pleased to see sales volume came back strongly in September this year. Recorded sales were 19% UP, compared to last September when 944 sales were registered. Total homes sold this September was an impressive 1121 units. 

Days on Market

In September 2020, home buyers wasted no time selecting & purchasing their next home. Average days on market in September was only 52 days, compared to 62 days last year & 55 days in 2018. 

Outlook

Inventory levels remain low. At the end of September there was 775 fewer homes & condos for sale compared to last year, equal to a drop of 12%.

We are very optimistic for the rest of this year & we anticipate that there will be around 1000 sales recorded in September 2020.
